Sushi Queen is a bustling Japanese restaurant and sushi spot located in the heart of Sterling’s Potomac Run Plaza. It leans into its role as a reliable neighborhood sushi and hibachi destination, popular with families and groups looking for familiar flavors without fuss. The atmosphere here is lively and somewhat noisy, making it more suited to casual gatherings rather than quiet dates or intimate dinners.

The dining setup offers a straightforward full-service experience with made-to-order sushi rolls like the Volcano Roll, California Roll, and Spider Roll lining the menu alongside appetizers such as beef gyoza dumplings and crab rangoon. Hibachi is available, though it’s worth noting that portion sizes lean toward generous vegetables and modest meats, which some might find light if you’re expecting a meat-heavy plate. Service tends to be quick, and food arrives fresh and hot, which keeps regulars coming back for convenience as much as quality.

This place feels like a practical stop for families thanks to menu options that include kids’ favorites like chicken nuggets and French fries, plus ice cream desserts that go over well with the younger crowd. For those mindful of dietary preferences, Sushi Queen’s avoidance of pork in the menu items offers peace of mind to some multicultural diners. The vibrant energy inside means it’s best visited during off-peak hours if you prefer a quieter meal, otherwise coming with a group to embrace its boisterous vibe works well.

Expect modestly dated seating in need of occasional refreshment but generally clean surroundings. The pricing is on the higher side for lunch, especially when drinks are added, but the made-to-order sushi and variety offered justify the cost for many visitors. Drinks include a fun selection of flavored Ramune sodas, adding a touch of nostalgia and novelty to the experience.

Overall, Sushi Queen suits those looking for accessible, straightforward Japanese fare with the option of hibachi, in a neighborhood setting that prioritizes efficiency and group dining energy over subdued ambiance. It plays a clear role as a go-to option for local families and casual groups rather than a refined or romantic sushi destination.

Good lunch! A little pricey for lunch. $25.99 a person and that does not include a soft drink that’s an additional $2.75. What you do get is complete made to order sushi, hibachi, soups, appetizers, and desserts. You do not have to go wait in line, you do not have to be trying to serve yourself and battle with conditions of other people, who may be not the cleanest in the world sharing your access to a buffet. You go in you look at the menu, you tell your waitress what you want, and they bring it. We tried everything from tempura, shrimp appetizers, combination, yakisoba, noodles, multiple kinds of sushi, rolls, and even a slice of “cheesecake“ for dessert. My daughter and I were happy. I like spicy food she does not so we each got her own kinds of rolls. Our waitress was very nice and answered all of our questions. The food came out hot, thoroughly quickly, and everything was well seasoned and as described. I’m not sure what negative reviews are out there but on that day, we had a really good meal. The atmosphere is not great. It’s not dirty, it just is decorated strange I guess it’s a way to explain it.the staff that we had and that we dealt with was really top-notch. She was a delightful young woman, and really was kind about making sure we were happy and inviting us back the next time we’re in town. We order a lot of sushi places when we travel because it’s not something we can get where we live. This was one that we would definitely go to again. One last thing. $25.99 a person sounds like a lot for an adult at lunch until you price what sushi rolls are at most restaurants in this area. One place sushi roll was $18.99 at dinner and that was just a sushi roll that was nothing with it. Much love in your travels, Jules

This restaurant is always pumping. The hibachi is garbage. This serving portions for the hibachi, is the least amount of meat they can serve you with the most amount of vegetables and still be able to call it Hibachi. There's some, she is decent, i've had better. It's a good atmosphere if you want to go into a very noisy restaurant with a group of friends and be loud, an obnoxious. It is a romantic place if you can go when there's not a lot of people. I can't say that I care for them. Pushing, I flew it around on a filthy looking cart and I hope they never take anything for my table off of the bottom.Because it's close to the wheels where things can jump up off the floor onto your plate. I believe the last time we visited some of the sushi was premade.Because it came out so quick like it took them no time at all to create it. #eatatyourownrisk

I love this place!!! Always great when I come. As a Muslim family it’s wonderful that none of their menu items have pork in it so there is no cross contamination. Food is delicious and fresh every time. They being food out quickly and great portions. Kids love the ice cream options. My favorite is the cute little boat they bring out of you order 7 rolls!

Good was good. Fast service. Keep in mind their mandatory 18% tip for party of 5 or more. No good desserts.

We really enjoyed this place. We had several rolls, edamame, appetizers and dessert. All were good. Great value for the price of $25.99 at dinner for all you can eat. Service was good. I would definitely recommend this place.

We always have a great experience at this establishment. It's not the *best* quality sushi, but if you're looking for quantity vs. quantity it's an excellent deal. They also have a great selection of non-sushi foods that even my picky relative will eat.

Just went here for the first time tonight with some friends. Absolutely one of the best dining experiences of my life because our waiter, Manny, was so fun and so personable and if we ever come back, we are requesting him. Best waiter on Earth! 10/10 for excellent service
